No more crib!!!
The crib had been a part of our home for 9 years. I can still remember the day we bought it...I can still remember the day we put it together and is he'd tears because we didn't have a mattress, so Bryan went to Walmart at 10 o'clock at night to make me smile. The hours I stood over the rails watching our little miracles sleep. Watching Hanna sleep in her car seat in the crib. :) Its a bitter sweet day for me. My babies are growing up! Here's to our first night in our new beds!!
Pollock Family Christmas 2014
On Saturday we were able to get together with my moms side of the family. Our traditional family pictures were snapped. We were missing my cousin Matt's wife Mandy...but still had a good crew!
Merry Christmas 2014
Unfortunately I have very few pictures from Christmas this year.
We entered the season with sickness...but so thankfully got medicine and was on the mend by Christmas Eve Day. We had the traditional meal at our house Christmas Eve, attended Christmas Eve service, and then Got cookies and carrots out for Santa and the reindeer. We also had to say good bye to our elves Conner and Cindy Lou...after tears, we crawled into bed.
(By this pic you can tell Hanna was thankfully feeling better!)
Santa came and the girls were so happy! Hanna received the frozen scooter she wanted, and Bryanna received the infinity game. Of course before the girls went downstairs, we had to take the traditional "step" picture.

Cookies anyone?!
Who could resist a cookie made by a doll in this get up?!
(Which was outfit number 2 for the day!)
Annual baking of Santa's favorite cut out cookies took place on Sunday....and this year there was a determined 3 year old wanting to get her hands in there! Fun memories with these two little ladies!
All aboard!
IAll aboard the Polar Express!
This weekend friends of ours invited us to a Polar Express party, beginning with conductor Kevin blowing the whistle in our driveway! Bryanna hopped on and rode the magical van to their home (Hanna opted to ride w mom and dad!). We then had a fun, magical evening celebrating the holidays among friends!
And the kids nestled down to watch the movie...for a brief period of time! :)

What a weekend!!!
We have a tradition to go to Kraynaks each year with the Tharans to walk thru Christmas tree lane. We were to go last weekend and strep throat attacked our house. Sad kiddos caused for a reschedule to this weekend. Kevin and Bryan were busy, so Lauren and I ventured with our four plus cousin Griffin. Thanks to Wendy and randy, we had some awesome wheels and a wild ride!
There were lots and lots of favorite trees this year...even frozen!
We then hit Daffins candy store...the highlight wasn't the chocolate, but a big guy in a red suit!!
Bryanna and Santa shared some secret words about the wooden cross around his neck...I'm not allowed to know...it's a secret with Santa!

Hanna's glasses...
As most of you know, Hanna was diagnosed with a strabismus in November. This means the muscles in her right eye are not working correctly. She got her glasses, and amazingly to Bryan and I...she does not fight us to wear them! She's doing wonderful, and we can really tell the glasses are helping her sight.
Here is a picture we took showing her eye....
And here's the picture of her in her new glasses! We pray these glasses begin to correct her vision!

Happy thanksgiving!
We were fortunate to spend our 20th thanksgiving in Ohio with Bryan's side of our family! The girls, especially Bryanna, count the days until its time to leave to see grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We had a delicious meal, and amazing family time!

Trimming the trees...
Yes, the Mong family begins their holiday decorating what some may say a bit early. We try to defend ourselves by saying we celebrate Christmas with Bryan's side over thanksgiving, so we want to be filled with the spirit of Christmas. However, to be honest....we just LOVE the holiday!
So yes, I caved! When the girls asked if we could put up the Santa tree in the basement...of course I said yes!

You never know what you might find....
Grandma and Scotty asked if Bryan could make a small repair in their attic. Since it needed completed before winter, last weekend was perfect! We made dinner and planned an evening with them.
Gram said, "while you are up there, can you bring down a few things?" Down came suitcases full of memories, empty boxes, and dresses under plastic.
Of course Bryanna's eyes were bright at the thought of new dress up clothes from Gram....but never did we dream we would find this treasure!
This beautiful velvet dress is what my Grandma wore the day she married poppy...a mere 77 years ago.
The dress stayed with Grandma, but we did bring home a snapshot of grandma wearing the dress, with poppy and both sets if my great grandparents.
It was a great night to share in memories from grandmas past.

CIRCUS!
We drove the girls crazy...they knew we had plans with friends. They knew we were going to Pittsburgh. But they had no clue we were going to the circus! The Mong family had never been to the circus before...but have a feeling the girls will vote to go again! Bryanna loved the trampoline show...Hanna loved the girl clowns, the elephants, and the tigers.
A very fun day, filled with laughter and friends!
Mrs. Claus ladies night out...
This year some amazing friends and I decided to attend the Mrs. Claus Ladies Evening to raise money for individuals in the Knox area who suffer with cancer. It's an amazing cause, and a fun evening out! Although our table didn't win anything, we had a wonderful time!
I also personally enjoyed the atmosphere of the Wolfs Den decorated for Christmas. Bryan and I spent many hours during the holidays there, and it was nice to be back again!

Beautiful spring days!
Warning!!!! If you come to the Mong home this summer, please be prepared for a messy house!! I've learned we have 2 little ladies that love to be outside! On weekends it's nice, we are outside all day! It's going to be one fun summer!!
Drive in movie night
Not to be out done by last years ice cream truck for drive in movie night at kids klub, Bryan and bryanna decided this years vehicle would be a firetruck. With a little planning and lots of fun, it turned out awesome! Great work "B's"!
